There is a train station near I-295 and Sloan Avenue with NJ Transit service to Newark and New York. Groveville, Hamilton Square, Mercerville, White Horse and Yardville are all census-designated places and unincorporated communities within the township which have separate postal addresses. Hamilton Township is one of the largest townships in New Jersey, although it does not have a true "downtown", but a number of neighborhoods within the township form smaller commercial centers.
